Sending You Hugs

Hello Guys,

I am super excited with this card I have made. It is inspired by a video tutorial I saw on Youtube. This is a super simple card and yet so different. The effect in the background is called the Bokeh Effect. This is a effect which we usually see in photography, where the background is blurred.

Now about the card, this is a 5*7 inches size card. I wet the entire card with clear water using a flat brush. Then I smooshed some distress inks on a acetate and mixed some water to it and then applied it on the card panel. The colours freely flowed and mixed to form a beautiful watercolour background. Now I covered the card front with a circle stencil and applied white pigment ink. Keeping it light at some places and applying pressure to get a dark colour where there are small circles. Then I die cut a rectangle out of a glitter white foam and a sentiment hello out of the same foam. I stamped the small sentiment below the die cut sentiment. I heat embossed a butterfly with white embossing power on vellum, fussy cut it and stuck it on the card front. Then I stuck the card front on the card base with white glue. And finished the card with a few sequins.
The supplies are listed at the end, do leave your comments if you like the card.

Wishing You Happiness

Hello Crafty Folks,

Today I am here with a single layered card. Clean and simple, its size is 5.25* 7.25 inches. This is a very basic card where I have stamped the floral images and water coloured them using distress inks. I added some water to each image and then added the colours, let them flow and mix to create beautiful shading on each flower and leaf. Then I added shadow effect with a light grey sketch pen. This is a good way to add dimension to images in a single layered card. Then I stamped the sentiment. I stuck the card front onto a red cardstock and then pasted it to the card base using foam tape to add dimension. Topped it up with some sequins to add some interest to the card. Hope you like the card.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi Lovely People,

Today I am here with a simple card. It is a A2 size card made with emboss resist technique. First I stamped the images and heat embossed them, with masking the images wherever needed. Then I used the distress inks with smooshing technique to apply colours on the card. I put some distress ink on the acetate sheet and then smooshed it onto the card. Then I die cut the card panel with stitched oval die. I used foam tape to arrange the die cuts and add dimension and interest to the card. I finished the card with a sentiment on a vellum stripe placed at the center of the card and a few sequins.

Shabby Chic Card

Hello Lovely People,

Today I am here with a creation to feature handmade flowers and leaves from Itsybitsy(Juniper Passion and Royal Ferns) . I would like to thank Itsybitsy for sending me this beautiful stuff. This pack has a wonderful combination of flowers, leaves and butterflies in a single pack which is like a complete embellishment package that a project would need. Please click on the link in the Supplies list to buy these beautiful flowers for your projects to add more beauty and elegance!

Now, a little about the project . This is my first try at a Shabby Chic Card. The handmade flowers from Itsy Bitsy add a lot of interest to the card. I have distressed the edges of the front panel. I have coated the resin embellishment with Frosted Sugar Powder, and added shaker elements to the frame (check out the video for that). Then I arranged the flowers and the leaves. and added some rhinestone embellishments, lace trim, some die cut leaves and doily and sentiment tiles. I also added a few more flowers from my Itsybitsy flower stash. I have stuck all these flowers and embellishments to the card front using the super strong silicon glue. The layer below the front panel has also been distressed at the edges and I have used Distress Ink to ink the panel. I have added a lace to the card base and added foam to pop up the front panel. The supplies have been listed below .
Hope you like the card, do leave your comments!

Thank You Card

Hello Peeps,

Here with another simple but interesting card. This is a A2 size card, the front panel has been die cut with stitched rectangle die. The focus of this card is its distress ink blended background. It is a perfect blend of all the vibrant shades. I have blended all the distress inks and spread some splatters and flick of water to add interest to the background.
I have die cut a circle in the card , and added foam tape to rest of the card front to add dimension and interest to it. The sentiment has been die cut and layered to add dimension. The leaf images have been stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Supplies have been listed at the end. Hope you like it, do leave your comments!

Make a wish Card

Hello Friends,

I am here with a simple birthday card.  I wanted to keep the background ink blending as the main focus in the card with a pretty birthday message. It is A2 sized card. The front panel has been de cut with the stitched rectangle die. The panel is coloured with blending 4 distress inks. The centre of the card has been raised by adding foam tape. I have heat embossed the sentiment and the small images in the background. The panel has been adhered to a black card base.
I am sorry that I couldn't click more pictures of the card as I had to send it out in a hurry :D
The supplies have been listed at the end. Hope you like the card.

Triple Stamping Layered Card

Hello Friends,

I am here with a new card. This is a A2 sized layered card.  I have used foam tape to pop up the front panel and give dimension to the card. In this card, I have used the distress ink smooshing technique for the first time. I created a background with blending 3 distress inks with a blending tool. Later on I generously added water to the card front and covered it with food wrap and tried creating creases over it such that after drying it leaves a pattern on the cardstock. This technique was inspired from a Jennifer McGuire video I had recently seen , but that was done with water colours. I tried to use the same technique using distress ink. It helped me get a smooth blended background.
Later on I added a few flicks of paint (golden and black) to add more interest to the card front. Then I stamped the flower images and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I finished the card with a sentiment embossed in white embossing powder and adding a few sequins.
The supplies used are listed at the end. Do leave your comments if you like the card.
